Default Wont stop with unbalanced load in spin
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: LAT9416AAE
Age: 5 - 10 years

Hello,
I have a Maytag washer which I replaced the tub and bearings because it was leaking. That has worked fine. My new problem is that it does not stop and alarm, during the spin cycle, when it has an unbalanced load in it. So I guess I have two main quesitons. 1) how does it determine when it is out of balance and how can I repair it. 2) Is there something else i need to do to help alleviate the out of balance condition. such as replacement of belts and spring?

Thanks,

There is a lever and switch assembly for the out of balance mode.

When you had the washer apart you may not have got it back in place.

When the tub goes off balance the tub hit the lever that actuates the switch.

Here is a link to your washer model LAT9416AAE.
