Wont spin water out of clothes

Model Number:
MLE2000Ayw
Age:
5 - 10 years
My maytag leaves the clothes sopping wet . we replaced the pump (ps64667) did not fix the problem. Any suggestions?

Check and see if the door is locking.
If the door is not locking the washer will not spin.
The problem could be the door look and the control board.

door is locked, it does actually spin, but not fast like it used to. Its like it's not spinning fast enough to extract the water.

If the washer is not spinning fast enough the motor control or the motor may be faulty.

I did look last night, and I believe you are right. The door is not locking. The light is not coming on anyway. I will have my husband check that this weekend. Thanks for your help.
