Default Won't final spin
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: FTF2140ES
Age: 1 - 4 years

My front load washer will wash and rinse the clothes in any cycle, until the final spin. It will tumble the clothes one direction and then the other direction 3 times. Then the buzzer goes off 3 times pauses and the busser goes off again 3 times. Now machine shuts off and is finished. The door is locked during the final spin. The drainage is working fine. Can you help me?

First of all is the washer coming up with any codes? It sounds to me like you need a motor control module. You have to get to it by taking off the lower front panel. It is white in color, and is sitting at the far left corner of the washer. So I have this straight, It washes, drains but does not spin. Replace the Motor Control Module. If you need me you can reach me at ApplianceEducator.com Tom

Default washer won't final spin

When the washer is done it beeps three times and then three times again. So that would be the code it sets.

No, that product will show you a code if there is a problem. What does the unit do when you ask it to do a spin and drain only? Let it finish the cycle, and let me know. Tom ApplianceEducator.com

Replace the moder control module. If you take lower front panel off the product, you will see it in the back left hand corner. Tom ApplianceEducator.com

I have a 9 yr old GE top load 7-cycle Heavy Duty Washer that won't final spin due to overloading. When I detected the problem, I smelled burning rubber and saw a little white smoke near washer. It will spin with one to two items, but it won't spin with a full load. Everything else works okay, except for a load knocking when agitating during the wash cycle. Can anyone help. Can't afford a repair person at this time. And I need my washer. Thanks.

There should be a balance switch that may be defective and is stuck on look for a scamatic on the washer its usually hidden in the control panel you may have to pull off the backof the panel to locate it find where the switch is or may have 2 switches pull the switch button out as far as it will go then try the spin cycle again.

I have basically the same problem, but with a slightly different Frigidaire model (GLTF2940ES1). My question is, is the "moter control module" the same as the "motor control board". I am sure it is, but just wantd confirmation before ordering.
