I have a problem I can figure out with my 2-year old Maytag washer, model mav4758aww. The washer appears to fill and agitate normally, but when it reaches the point when it is supposed to drain, it throws the circuit breaker in the house wiring. It happens at all the drain points in the cycle (wash, rinse, etc.) so it does not correspond to just one point on the timer. I have checked the drain lines and pump. The lines are clear, the pump rotates freely, and I can see the impeller rotating freely inside. Help!

Remove the belt off the washer and try it in the spin cycle and see if it still pops the circuit.

Here is a link to your washer model mav4758aww.

I had an acquaintance who knows about such things check out the motor, and the part of it that runs the drain cycle was bad. I'm quite disappointed that this happened on a machine that is only a little over 2 years old, but because it is relatively new and does not seem to be a problem model, I decided to replace the motor rather than get a new washer. Thanks for the help.
