Default Won't cycle
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: LAT4914AAL
Age: 5 - 10 years

Several weeks ago, the washer would stop after filling. I would jiggle the control knob and it would continue and complete. Now after filling with water, agitation will not start, but the timer continues to advance as it should but agitation, drain or rinse cycles do nothing....tub still full of water.

With tub still full, I try to use another cycle, and the only one that will work at all is the delicate cycle....any ideas, a timer?

Thanks in advance

If you had to jiggle the knob before to make it work, It is most likely the timer. The only other thing it could be is the lid switch. If you need me you can reach me at my web site at ApplianceEducator.com Tom
