Extreme wobble began suddenly on spin cycle. Persists even when washer is empty. Seems very unbalanced.

If you move the tub to one side does the tub move back to the center of opening?

I think problem is solved. Have replaced the pads and tub now floats freely without trying to take the washer with it. Old pads seemed more in need of relubrication rather than replacement but no use taking chances. Thanks as reviewing this site provided clues that led to a solution.
