Whirlpool washer won't agitate or spin

My mother has a washer that will not agitate nor spin. We would appreciate any suggestions on what we might be able to do to fix this ourselves. The model number should read TAWB600E (not #).

The coupling between the motor and the transmission is broken, remove the motor and install a new motor coupling
