Is this a canadian machine? Usually american machines operate in 120 volts
Why do you want to run it away from the machine? A test?

Default Whirpool washer 240V

Thank you for replying to my query. The whirpool motor is American but made for export to Europe. The voltage on the name-plate says voltage:218V 50Hz and it was used on such supply as a washer, though the starting capacitor does say
115V. I would like to run the motor; seperated from the washer if possible, on both speeds and on a mains supply of 240V 50Hz as it has always been while inside the machine. Thanks again for your patience. Regards.
