Default Where Is The Filter ?
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: LAT8234AAE
Age: More than 10 years

Hello,
My washer is a very old Maytag. It has some problems to evacuate water and stops at different steps when I want to wash, especially at the end of the cycle. I think it's a problem of filter, as it does not spin correctly. But impossible to find the filter ! can someone tell me where it is or if the problem is elsewhere ??? Is it possible to find the instructions paper, I lost it.
Thanks a lot.

The filter in your washer is located under the agitator.

It may be the belt is slipping and not turning the pump pulley.

Here is a link to your washer model LAT8234AAE.

To check the pump and belt remove the front panel.

Is the motor intermittant, if so you have a timer problem. Best to check belt for simple fix.
