The dogs are in the agitator.

Can you please verify your model number?

What is the problem with your washer?

Is the model number you are giving off the tag with the serial number?

If the washer is a seventy model you will have what is called a wig wag that control the spin and the agitation. The wig wag has two solenoids.

The wig wag is locate on the top of the transmission and it moves back and forth when the washer is running.

From the back of the washer the agitation solenoid is the one on the right.

There is a bar that shift the transmission in to agitation when the solenoid is energized.

When the solenoid it energized it will pull the plunger in the center up which hold it in gear.

If the solenoid is not energizing the solenoid is burnt out or the wire is broken.

If this is working and the washer does not agitate the splines on the agitator may be stripped.
