Default Weird problem...
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: LSR8233JQ0
Age: 5 - 10 years

So for about the last year we have been having a problem with the washer. It would, of the course of about a month, start letting water in slower and slower... Well a few weeks ago I changed out the water inlet valve thinking that would fix the problem. Wrong. Long story short, the water starts coming in slowly to the point of dripping in. I undo the hoses from the wall and put them back and everything starts working like new. After about 4-5 washes it starts doing the same thing. Take hoses off wall valve and reconnect and it is like magic! Could I have air buildup in the pipes or something? Or is it just the washer? any help would be appreciated!

You should have wire strainers in the end of the hoses. They catch larger sediment and will stop the water flow. Take them out and flush out the hoses by running some water through them. Well water especially might have sand and the hot water can have calcium deposits etc.

Yeah that is what we thought. So we put strainers on both ends of the hose and bought new hoses... Everytime I check the strainers there is no visible dirt particles or anything on them...
