Default Weak Agitation
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: WPSR3100WWW
Age: 5 - 10 years

The agitation suddenly became very weak. The washer fills, churns back and forth a little bit then drains and spins normally. I was able to remove the agitator and the bolt that holds the coupler but the coupler itself won't lift off. I can't tell which part is stripped until I remove this. any advice?

The coupling is attached to the agitator shaft and it is splined so it should just pull off.

I don't think that your problem is with the coupling.

You may have a problem with your motor.

Your motor is a two speed motor.

I would say that the high speed winding is opened.

Here is a link to your washer model WPSR3100W0WW.
