Question Water Won't Pump Out
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: WNSR3120W0WW
Age: 5 - 10 years

The washer spins out the clothes and did pump most of water from the drum, but not all the water (we had to empty the remaining water from the tub) Have taken off all hoses and checked for blockages...none found. Tried the pump by placing the hose into a water filled container and it appeared to not be pumping water from the container, so assumed the pump was bad. Went thru local dealer and ordered a new pump for the washer. Our model was built in 1999 but the new pump that came (and it is all that appears that GE offers for this model) does not match up exactly as the old one. The new pump which came has a longer metal bracket (which is fairly straight, versus the old bracket is shorter and has a bend in it) ...also the new pump sent, has a straight adapter to hook onto the hose (which will result in hose having a kink in it)...versus the original pump has a 90% angle adapter which allows the hose to be connected in a straight manner with no kinks....anyone familiar w/this problem or know if I put the new pump on will there be problems since the opening in the hose will have that kink in it??? Any help would be appreciated!

I think some one sold you the wrong one, I just put an older model pump on a brand new washer and there was no difference in the mounting
