Like I said in the title........The Maytag Mah6700w is a front loading clothes washer. It was puchaseed in 2004 and its used heavly. Here's what happens: You put clothes in the washer , HE detergent into the disspenser and then turn it on. you can see the water flow and flow until it start to come out of the front door. I shut off the power but the water still flows and flows. Only until I shut the water off at the value it stops....I only need to shut the cold water off and when I turn the water and power back on it runs great for several day ????


Any ideas?

If water still runs with plug pulled from wall, that means grit has gotten to cold water inlet valve, and stickes it open. purchase a new water valve from parts select.
