Default Water temperature problem
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: wwre5240d0ww
Age: 1 - 4 years

I replaced the water inlet valve because the cold water was over filling. Since then, I get warm water when I ask for cold. The machine sputters back and forth between hot and cold before settling on warm. I put the old water inlet valve back in and now it's doing the same thing AND, AND, is no longer over filling. I'm at a loss as to what the next step in troubleshooting this should be.

The only other thing that could be causing your trouble is the electronic control.

Ooooh $90 before shipping.
I've already spent 50 or 60 on the water inlet valve.
Is it worth it?

Your washer is fairly new.
