Default Water level in washer help
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: lat9806aae
Age: More than 10 years

I have a problem with my maytag wash michine with the water level. The problem is the low water levels do not work, mini & small. I replaced the water level switch this past weekend & I still have the same problem, the water still fill's half the washer when set to the lower water levels. Has any one seen & fixed this problem?

Thanks,

Phil G.

Here is a link where you can get a service manual for the machine
Maytag Service Library

I have not seen this problem
The manual says the level switch is calibrated at the factory and should not be adjusted

Did you blow into the tubing perhaps you have a partial plug at the intake
Perhaps the tube has moved and now sits higher in the tub
Perhaps the tube is cracked at the bottom

The above are just guesses so don't bet the farm on them

Thanks for the info I'll check it out this weekend. Also thank you for the link to the service manual. I'll let you know how I make out.
