Default Water Injector Leak
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: SE1000
Age: More than 10 years

I found I have a leak in the water injector. It leaks out the slots in the top of the injector. The injector is simply a plastic tub surrounded by a rubber sleave that is inserted into another plastic holder. The plastic holder has slots in the top and it leaks through the slots. I have tightened all conections and have inspected the sleaves. I just don't understand what or how this could be leaking. Any comments or suggestions?

Thanks in advance for your help.

S Allen

Has the water pressure in your home changed.

You may have to replace the injector sleeve bracket.

Here is a link to your washer model SE1000.

You will need to replace the rubber sleeve and tube it slides into. Most appliance parts stors has the parts. Very common problem. Replace the clamps also
