Question Washing Machine spins but leave clothes wet
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 92588210
Age: 1 - 4 years

My Kenmore Washing Machine is a direct drive and manufactor is Maycor. It works fine except that it leaves too much water after a spin has completed. There is about an inch to inch and a half left in the bottom of the tub. . Where would I start to get this problem resolved.

Default Washing machine spinning slow, leaving water

I had the same problem as you. In the process of elimination, found that my motor is no longer available, we have no clutch, so the transmission was my next target at $150.00. On a whim, I ran a few test cycles and watched. I pulled the drain hose out to check the flow of drain water and noticed it was really slow. I grabbed the hose, knocked it back and forth a few times, and presto! the clog passed and everything went back to normal! Saved me a thousand bucks because my wife was all set to get a new washer and dryer set. Now I just have to break the news to her! Somehow I'll make it up to her>
