Default Washing Machine does not hold fill
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: mav5000aww
Age: 5 - 10 years

Our Maytag MAV5000AWW does not hold water in the wash or rinse cycle - water drains immediately. Problem is intermittent but happening more often then not at this point. Any help appreciated.

Glen, the only way that this is going to happen is that your drain hose is to far in the drain. It should only be 6 inches in the hole. Pull it out, and then tie wrap the drain hose to one of the water line hoses. If you need me you can reach me at ApplianceEducator.com Tom

Thanks Tom, removing the drain hose and resetting seemed to do the trick, I don't think it was venting properly.
