Washer would work up to spin cycle then it would pump the water out but wouldnt spin

Cool Washer would work up to spin cycle then it would pump the water out but wouldnt spin
Brand: Whirlpool
Age: 5 - 10 years
a small bolt broke in the neutral assembly in the gearbox i made a new one put the gearbox back together and installed back on the washer and when put it on spin cycle it broke the driver brake cam. so i was wondering if there was a trick to putting it back together so this dosent happen again.

Just replace the tranny, not worth fixing. There are plenty of used tranny's around, check ebay or junkyard
