Default Washer wont stop filling
Brand: Admiral
Model Number: AW20N2V
Age: 5 - 10 years

worked fine one night the next morning it works but will not shut off water after filled, could it be the fill limit switches or filler valve. I can stop the water by cutting off the water and then turning it back on and it works until it needs more water then it will not shut off like it should.

Here is a link to your washer including a wiring diagram which may be useful
Maytag AW20N2V

When you say "cutting off the water" do you mean actually shutting off the water taps or just stopping the cycle using the timer.

If you mean shutting off the taps then it definitely sounds like your water inlet valve is shot. The water pressure is holding the valve open. It is doubtful that this fault would happen to both valves at the same time.

Try it with cold only. Does it work normally?
