maytag dependable care plus
it went thru the wash, filled with rinse water...then stopped working
it wont drain or spin and just makes a loud noise and burning smell if you try to get it to go. so i just unplugged it. what could be wrong. it worked last night and this am.

Check the pump and see if it has seized up.

To do this take the two screws out of the front panel at the bottom.

Swing the panel out and it will unhook at the top.

Know you can turn the pump pulley.
