 Washer won't spin/agitate Brand: Kenmore Model Number: 22622100 Age: 5 - 10 years
My washer quit spinning and agitating a couple weeks ago. A friend replaced the coupler, which worked for about one day at which point it made a weird sound and smelled bad. An independent repair person 'guaranteed' it was the timer, but after I questioned him he said it was the motor. When we described the problem to a Kenmore repairman (questioned him at a convenience store), he said it was the transmission.....HELP!! I don't want to spend a lot on a washer that I didn't spend a whole lot on to begin with.
Also it will spin for a couple minutes it you push the tub around....
