our washer (which does see some heavy use) recently stopped spinning. Fills and drains fine, but will not agitate or spin at all. Like anyone unsure of what they were doing, I proceeded to take the whole thing apart. I'm stuck trying to remove the spin basket. The Air Bell Coupler doesn't want to come apart from the transmission spline shaft, so I can't remove the left handed threaded hub nut. Does any of this make any sense to anyone?

Can you please verify your model number as I can't find it on our database?

It sounds like your belt may have come off.

The pump has it own motor so it would still pump.

My Washer is a Maytag Model #MAH5500BWW. When it goes into the spin mode a digital code lr or lo i think, appears and the machine stops. I'm thinking that its the belt because the water has drained but the cloths are still soaked. If its the belt, where is it located.
