Check the lid switch to make sure you hear the click of the switch.

If the switch is good look under the washer and see if there are black rubber filings or white plastic pieces.

If you find this the coupler that will need to be replaced.

Unplug the washer.

Locate the two screws in the control panel at the back and remove them. One in each corner.

Flip the control panel up toward the wall.

Locate the two brassy looking clips in the corners of the cabinet and release them.

Disconnect the wiring harness for the lid switch.

Open the washer lid and tilt the cabinet toward you and lift it and place it out of your way.

Remove the two clamps holding the pump in place. You do not have to remove the hoses.

Disconnect the wiring harness on the motor.

Remove the two bracket holding the motor in place and lower the motor.

Install the new coupler and reassembly.

Here is a link to your washer model GSQ9669LG1.

Thank you for the reply, but is it the clutch assembly (PS334641 part#) or the Direct drive coupling (PS1485646 part#) that I need. From the blow up diagram the clutch assembly is circled.

You will have to determine which part you will need.

The dotted line around any of the parts in the diagram is just show you that all the parts in that area come together.
