Three weeks out of warranty and the washer seems to lock up when agitating washer stops motor hums. I was able to free it up by hand and restarted it then it made loud banging noises and locked up again. I fear its the transmission but does any one have any other ideas

I think your tranny is warranted for 5 years. Pull belt off pully and turn it in the agitation direction, if you feel and hear noises=bad tranny.

Looks like the transmission. Thanks for the help, looking into the warranty now
