The washer was smoking the last time it washed and I realized the belt was broke. It was overloaded at the time. The washer was moved from one house to another after it was smoking. I replaced the belt and the washer will spin, but it will not agitate. What is the problem?

The first thing I would check is to see if the pump turns. If so you most likely have a bad transmission, and at that point, you might as well replace it. Tom
