It sounds like the coupler that goes between the motor and transmission has broken.
To take the washer apart do the following.
Remove the two screws in the control panel, one in each corner.
Flip the control panel up toward the wall.
In the corners of the cabinet you will see two brassy looking clips.
With a flat blade screwdriver release the clips.
Disconnect the lid switch wiring harness.
Open the lid of the washer and grasp the opening of the washer and tilt the cabinet toward you and lift at the same time to remove it.
On the pump there are two clamps that hold the pump in place.
Remove the clamps and swing the pump out of the way. You do not have to take the hoses off.
Remove the wiring harness that is connected to the motor.
To remove the motor there are two clamp that hold the motor in place.
Remove the screws in the clamp and lower the motor out of the way.
You will find a white disk on the end of the motor and one on the end of the transmission.
You will likely find black rubber piece on the base. This joins the two white disks together.
