Default Spin Cycle Possesed

I bought a Kenmore 11024642300 about 3 years ago and the spin cycle is messed up as well. It will sometimes spin, but not fast enough to spin the water out. While running through a cycle, it usually won't spin at all. We have to let it sit for an hour or two then run the spin cycle again for it to even spin at all. But like I said, it usually isn't fast enough to make a difference. It does agitate and every other part of the cycle works fine. A couple of times we did smell a burning smell. We took it apart and looked at the Coupling and most of the other parts not encased in something, and everything looked to be in good shape. There was some oil leaking on the parts, so does that mean my transmission is screwed? I hope someone can help because we cannot afford to pay anyone to come out and look at it. Thanks!

Default

If the leaking oil should get on the spin clutch, it will slip and not spin very well
