Default Washer will not spin (rinse or wash)
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: MWX233RES4
Age: 5 - 10 years

Hi,

Wife called me at the office this morning, on the 3rd load this morning and went to take the clothes out of the machine and still soaking wet.

She checked and found that the tub is not spinning. The water will drain from the action of the pump but does not spin and drain completely.

I am not at home to check the belt, would that be a valid starting point?

Thanks,
James.

If you can here the motor running and nothing is happening then that is likely the problem.

Another thing to check is the lid switch.

Here is a link to your washer model MWX233RES4.

Picked up a belt on the way home just in case. Pulled the front panel off and that was the problem, belt had snapped. 2 minutes and the new one was on and the machine running like a champ again!

Thanks.
