Question Washer will not spin
Brand: Roper
Model Number: RAX4233PQ0
Age: 1 - 4 years

washer will not spin. If I shake the washer back and forth it will try to spin very
slowly and stop. The motor and transmission appear to be operating properly. I
believe the agitator brake is working okay. I think maybe the problem lies in the
clutch assembly. Any input would be appreciated. I have already disassembled the unit.

When you say it does not spin, does it sound like the motor comes on? If it does it could very well be your coupler. Here is a test for you to do. If you open the lid, and turn the timer on spin, and push down on the lid switch, and try to turn the tub, if it does not turn, you need a clutch assembly. Tom ApplianceEducator.com
