Default Washer will not drain water out on rinse cycle
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 970-C42162-00
Age: 1 - 4 years

My washing machine will fill with water and go through the motions of washing but when it gets to the cycle that removes the water from the machine and rinse it does nothing it just buzzes. I have tried several times to restart and it still does it. I had put clothes in and when I went to put them in the dryer all of the clothes were still soaking wet and there was a pool of water at the bottom of the machine.
The machine is from Sept. 03 which is fairly new considering the age of some machines.
Help.

Check your warranty.

Mine did something similar and needed a new transmission. The repair guy told me it fell under the 10 year warranty still--Maytag performa--I inherited from a moving neighbor.

Does it spin? I have same washer 4 years ago- Call and see if still under warranty- did you buy extended warranty or on your sears card. Mine started like this then it would not agitate and or spin and seemed a little louder- called sears (nightmare by the way) and it turned out to be the bearings and because we got it with the house they said we would have to pay even though there was a 5 year warranty- we did not purchase the machine and the bearings were 433.87 plus labour and in the end it would have cost us 700.00 for just the washer so I would get on it before warranty runs out
