Default Washer will not drain
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: LSQ9010KQ0
Age: 5 - 10 years

Washer goes through wash cycle but when it is time to drain you hear the pump try to start then nothing. This happens in all cycles.

Please advise as I know nothing about washers.

Thank You!!!!!!!!

I found the problem.

It was the lid switch. This seems to be a problem with this type.

Electro-Lab here in town had the exact part. Getting the washer apart took about an hour. (What an odd way to build something) Re-assembly took 15 minutes.

Thanks!

The lid switch usually breaks from accedently dropping lid hard
