Default Washer will not agitate or spin out
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: FW975ES2
Age: 5 - 10 years

Help! My washer is about 10 years old, will fill and advance through cycles but will not agitate or spin out, will drain water out and sounds as if it is trying to spin/agitate, no odd or loud noises.

I checked the lid switch and it seems fine. I want to open it and looks inside in the morning, I am trying to find exploded diagrams for it and having no luck.

I am a stay at home mom of 2 boys and it's mud season here, I can't live without a washer for too long.... Any help appreciated. Thanks for your time!

Crimson

Can you please verify your model number?

It should be on a tag under the lid or on the back of the control panel.

Have you check the belt?

That is my model number listed, FW975ES2, Frigidaire. I am in Canada. Found out this morning it was just the belt broken. Have replaced that and machine is now working fabulously. Not bad for a 10 year old belt!!
I would still appreciate a link to diagrams of it, if any could be found....
Thanks again
Crimson

Here is one you can use as a reference.

Most of the parts will be the same but the timer and other switch may be different.

Here is a link to a washer like yours fws235rfs6.
