Default Washer tub off center
Brand: Whirlpool
Age: More than 10 years

The tub seems to be off center. I have to be there while it fills at the start of the cycle and at the start of the rinse cycle. Water will get behind the tub and leak onto the floor if I don't adjust it at the beginning of each fill cycle.
The spin cycle seems to be working fine but everything is just tilted to the front.
Could I be lucky and it just be a simple repair that I can do myself?
Thanks!

Remove the two panel screws and tilt panel back, remove retaining clips and spin wires and remove outer panel. You will probably find the rear support spring fell off due to rusted frame. Just drill new hole and re-attach spring. You might want to add a helper spring, usually 7" long, this reduces spin vibration.

It worked!! thank you! It was the spring rusted through the frame.
