Both of my water control coils are burned out. Is this the cause of the control board? If I were to replace the water control coils would this solve the problem or is the control board probably damaged also? Why would both coils burn out at the same time?

Is there voltage at the valve?

If there is voltage a the valve then replacing the valve would solve your problem.

There should be between 115 volts and 120 volts at the valve.

If you are not getting voltage at the valve then it would be the control.
