model LSQ9244EZ0.

Washer works in wash cycles, drains but will not spin.

I removed the pump and motor. I tried to remove the gearbox, but got no further than 3 bolts holding it to the washer. It lowere about an inch and would go no further.

One question I have is where is the coupler that frequently breaks? Is it between the motor and the gearbox. This part looks ok.

Need some help ASAP

Thank you

Sal Azinaro

Question

Is th coupler between the motor and the gear box? What does it look like?
I removed the motor and tried to lower the gearbox. Was this necessary?
I removed three bolts from tehgearbox, but it will not completely lower.
Need advice ASAP.

Thank you

Sal

If the washer will agitate and drain but will not spin check the lid switch.

The washer will not spin if the lid switch is not activated.

If you did not remove the agitator and drive block from inside the tub the gear box will not come out.

You should not have to remove the gear box.

Here is a link to your washer model LSQ9244EZ0.

Here is what the coupler looks like.
