Default Washer Timer Replacement
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: FWT449GFS1
Age: 5 - 10 years

HELP
I am in the process of replacing the timer but I am unable to remove the plastic knob on the timer shaft. This is on a front load Frigidaire washer.

How do you remove the time knob?

See these pictures>>>>Partselect.com - Frigidaire Washer Parts And All Brands of Appliance Parts If that is your knob, you see it looks like a two piece and at least the outside part is push on with the clips to hold it on. There could be some screws holding the inside part which will be accessible when taken apart. Anyway that's what it looks like to me. Good luck

Now that I have replaced the timer, the washer is extremely slow between the cycles. It does work, just takes forever to get through a load of clothes - twice as long as before. Any ideas what to replace next?

thanks for help!!!

I to have a timer that wont move no matter where you put it on the cycle dial. It just keeps going in that same spot till I move it . What is wrong with it or what do I need to repair. I cant afford 310.00 or 394.00 to replace it. Is there a rebuilt supply place thats good and then how do I put it in. Im new with all this stuff.
Sincerely, Humbled.
