Default Washer stops in in drain cycle
Brand: Estate
Model Number: TAWX700JQ0
Age: 5 - 10 years

The washer fills and agitates but then stops with full tub of wash water and will not drain. Solved problem temporarily by pressing down firmly on lid and holding until draining begins. Washer works fine after that each time. What part do I need to repair the problem?

It sound like your lid switch is loose and moving out of place when the lid is down.

Check the screw holding the switch in place.

The lever on the switch may be broken.

All so check the strike on the lid to make sure it is not broken.

Here is a link to your washer model TAWX700JQ0.

Here is your lid switch.
