Question Washer spins intermittently
Brand: Crosley
Model Number: cawc529jqo
Age: 5 - 10 years

My brother-in-law said his washer would only spin slow but when I looked at it, it would start to spinfor about 5 seconds then shut off for about five seconds then it would start again. I did this with the lid up and a screwdriver stuck in the lid switch, so I noticed that when it would spin the agitator would wobble. Do washers have a switch that shuts it down with an off center load? Could this be whats happening? I did this with the washer empty.

The agitator will look like it is wobbling when it is in the spin cycle.

This washer does not have an out of balance switch.

Do you still hear the motor running?

It may be a problem with the brake system or the transmission clutch system.

It could also be a problem with the electronic board.

Here is a link to the washer model cawc529jq0.
