I am experiencing the same prob now. I tipped the washer over and can see a few features from underneath. I see a belt that is not broken but it is def not tightly connected to anything. This washer doesn't seem to have a model number but I know its an Admiral. Have you checked the belt?

Can't find a way to start a new post so I guess I'll have to get seen by replying to another post. Anyway, I have a top loading, Admiral that won't spin. I spent a half hour trying to access the motor. Finally I get there. Like doing surgery. There is a belt that isn't in great condition but it's not broken. It is extremely loose and it seems it's diameter is way bigger than this belt drive I found. So I assume the drive and some other object keeps tension on the belt. But I see nothing that the belt could loop around to create tension on the belt drive.
Does anyone have any experience with this?
Is there a way to get a schematic or repair guide for Admiral washers?
The belt has two areas that look somewhat twisted and chewed up. Will it still work if I can reattach it?
Thanks
Rock
