Question Washer smells like burning rubber
Brand: Frigidaire
Age: 5 - 10 years

HELP!! My washer seems to be having trouble spinning, It makes the sound but no spin and it smells like burning rubber although my husband says the belt is just fine, also not sure if this is related or not but the softner dispencer has been only releasing 1/2 of softer for about the past 2 months...????

Get your husband to make sure that the idler pulley is turning freely and it is putting the proper tension on the belt.

He will have to watch to see if the tensioner is moving.

Get him to check the motor to see if it is turning freely also.

If the washer is not spinning properly then the fabric softener will not dispense right.
