Exclamation Washer repair
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: LAT8826AAE
Age: 5 - 10 years

I have a Maytag model # LAT8826AAE that is leaking from the bottom of the tub seal. From your schematics it looks like I may need parts description # PS65335 ,PS61817 and may also go on and replace tub bearing with parts description # PS60151. My problem is how do I remove the inner nut ( number 10 on the schematics ) does it take a special spanner wrench? Or can it be tapped around with a dull chisel and a hammer? Next is it it standard or revese thead?
THANK YOU Robert

There is a special wrench that you can use but you can use a dull chisel.

The only thing with using a chisel is you will probably need to replace the nut in the end.

The nut is a standard right hand thread.
