Default Washer overflow
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 11882791800
Age: 5 - 10 years

Help!
I have a Kenmore washer that does not shut the water off when the tub is full. I'm lloking for anyone having this problem as I guess it's common. I have had 2 Kenmore with the same problem in a different house.
Can anyone give odds for: 1) water level switch or 2) water level valve ???

Here is the way to distinguish what the correct part is you need. When the washer overflowed did you just hit the timer button, and the water shut off. If so replace the water level swtch. If you had to shut off the water valves in the wall, then replace the water valve. But there is something I would like you to check before you replace anything. There is a plastic hose that goes to the water level switch, make sure it did not fall off. If it is on at the water level swtich, follow the hose down to the side of the tub, and make sure it is on there. Just pull the washer away from the wall, and lean it back, and look on the right hand side, in the middle upwards, and you will see the plastic hose. If you need me, I can be reached at my web site.
