Unhappy Washer only runs 30 seconds
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: MAVT546EWW
Age: 1 - 4 years

When I start my washer, it will fill for 20-30 seconds and then just stop. If I keep pushing the button, it will do the same thing. I put it to spin only and it starts the spin, drains the water and then does an abrupt stop. Each time it stops, all lights flash a couple times.

I have tried to get it into service mode but half way thru the process, all lights start flashing again and we can never complete the process. We did have some storms come thru the area right before this started.

Per another thread I found, I was going to check the fuse but cannot find one.

You will need a meter and the service sheet to check things, but most likely you will need a new control pc board. I usually check for power out of the pc board pin that supplies voltage to the motor. If no voltage=bad pc.
