most of the time, when this ocurs in all brands, it is because the small hose that connects the tub to the water level switch, has to seal on both ends perfectly.
Or if that hose is pinched, or has a hole or split in it. As the water fills the tub, water rises up the hose, and the force(or pressure) stops the water filling as it reaches level selected, then the motor comes on from that switch also. So if that hose leaks out that pressure, it will keep calling for more water, and never shut off and start the motor. first thing test you should try: cut off a small piece of hose1/4" off each end, with the tub completely empty, reattach the hose and test fill and see if the problem is solved. if not re place the hose with a new one.
if still not stopping, it's a good chance, the water fill switch is burned out and should be replaced!! bettyboop |
