My washing machine won't spin out. The dial appears that the cycle is complete, but when I open the tub the clothes are soaking wet. When I set the washer back to the spin cycle, it sounds like the motor tries to work but there's no movement in the tub. What do you suggest? I don't want to call the repairman yet.

Anything like rubber or plastic particulates under the washer?
Start new load (without clothes) see if unit will agitate. If not, motor coupling probably broken. New coupling has a metal insert...don't buy old style or chinese knockoff.
