Default Washer not Agitating Makes Odd Sound
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 11022702100
Age: 5 - 10 years

Washed one load 20 mins later I put in another. Washer filled then started a loud rattling. I could feel a lot of vibration when I placed my hand on agitator. Felt and sounded as if the coupler was bad, sound would have been the shaft spinning in the broken coupling. Does not agitate and I was afraid to let it sit while making the sound so I don't know if it would drain. (I did move the control knob a bit but may not have gotten it on drain location). I did NOT remove the cover but after syphoning ot hr water leaned the washer back and could see no bits of plastic under the washer. (Perhaps they are caught up in the works till I start unbolting?) Washer has been problem free till now.

The coupler can just strip out the the plastic, or break off the little prongs, and not show from the bottom without removing motor. Bettyboop

Does the replacement coupler from PartSelect have a metal liner like some I see on other sites? No photo is provided by PartSelect. It would seem that a replacement with the metall liner would be the best choice.
