Default Washer needs timer replacement--need directions
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 11020712991
Age: 5 - 10 years

Washer washes and spins through first cycle but then leaves clothes in water and timer can be reset further in the cycle and will eventually run through. Initially could not bypass the lid switch so we replaced that and found it did have a crack in it, but the washer still did the above. We have determined it to be the timer since everything else appears to be working fine.
Can you provide a schematic as to how to do this please? I need this ASAP!!! I really appreciate any assistance you can provide.
Thanks

Default hi

Thanks very much. I will attempt this change possibly this weekend if the part gets here by then. I really appreciate your assistance. So I just take the knob and turn it counter clock wise until it comes off, pop off the back piece, remove the screws (all after taking off the sides and unscrewing the top), unplug the timer, plug the new timer in and put everything back to gether right?
Thanks again.
