Default Washer Leaks and makes knocking sounds
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 110.29882890
Age: 5 - 10 years

I have a Kenmore 110.29882890 80 series washer. The washing machine when it was ending it's spin cycle would make a loud knocking sound. And recently it got worse and during the drain/spin cycle was making more sounds and began leaking.

I'm 90% positive the problem was the pump, which I have already pulled off and going to buy a new one. However, when I looked at the pump, it didn't look cracked and wasn't all that imaginative looking to see if something was broken.

However, I will admit, for water to be leaking I can only think of two places, the hoses going in or the water coming out. And it didn't leak when the water was going in.

I'm just looking for confirmation to my suspicions. Thanks for listening.

Default

How about the water leak seal around the shaft that turns the pump, every one that leaks, leaks there!!!!!

Default Seal around the pump right?

Thanks for the reply. Are you thinking the seal around the pump? That was the only place I could think of as well.
